Former Texas Choir Teacher Arrested in Georgetown
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS – Steve “Kirk” Anderson, 32, was arrested Wednesday at his home after the McKinney Police Department issued a warrant for his arrest for solicitation to commit sexual assault, KVUE ABC News reported. Anderson was previously employed by a high school in McKinney, Texas, before moving to Georgetown and working as a high school choir teacher in Pflugerville. According to the news report, he resigned earlier this month. Police began investigatingAnderson in July when an alleged victim contacted them about incidents from the 2007-2008 school year, where Anderson engaged in inappropriate communication via text. Anderson was booked at the Williamson County Jail, with bond set at $35,000. Any other victims of Steven “Kirk” Anderson are urged to contact their local law enforcement agency.
