Civil Settlement Reached in Bart Mazer Case

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – A settlement has been reached between one of the victims of Bart Mazer, a former math teacher at Mountain Ridge High School in Allegany County. In June, Mazer was sentenced to a year in jail after pleading guilty to two counts of fourth-degree sex offense against two teenage girls. In her lawsuit, the victim alleged that the principal of the school was repeatedly allerted to Mazer’s behavior but did nothing until she contacted police.
