Texas Math Teacher Arrested for Sexual Relationship with Students

Haeli Noelle Wey, 28, a former Math teacher at Westlake High School in Austin, TX, was arrested this week for having an improper relationship with two of her students, CBS News reported. Wey had allegedy been communicating with one of the victims through social media since the beginning of the school year. The arrest affidatit stated that Wey invited the victim on a hike in September and then asked him to delete the text message from his phone.  A relationship with another student occurred over the summer, and involved Wey inviting a student to her home, where they had sex. That relationship ended after several months and the victim told their parents, who notified authorities. In October, school officials released a statement to parents and staff of Westlake High School following the initial report of inappropriate behavior, according to CBS.  At the time of her booking, the woman was charged with two counts of conducting an improper relationship between educator and student.  News Source: CBS News
