El Monte Teacher Charged with Sexual Relationship with Student
LOS ANGELES – Richard Paul Daniels, 55, of Rancho Cucamonga, an Earth science instructor, chair of the science department at Arroyo High School, and a football coach, was arrested Wednesday and charged with having a sexual relationship with a student, multiple news outlets reported. Daniels is being held on $1.75 million bail. According to CBS Local, an El Monte Police School Resource Officer was notified Tuesday of an allegation of inappropriate contact between a female student and the teacher. The age of the student, a resident of El Monte, was not disclosed. Anyone with information relevant to the case was urged to call police at 626-580-2109.
