Miramonte Elementary’s Joseph Baldenebro arrested for molestation
Fifth-grade teacher Joseph Baldenebro of Miramonte Elementary School in South El Monte, in the Mountain View School District, stands accused of inappropriately touching several female students. The girls were aged 8 to 11, and the molestation took place both on school grounds and in the classroom. This news is courtesy of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
As sexual molestation of students (or any children) is learned behavior, it is not likely to catch a pedophile such as Baldenebro early-on in his ‘molestation career’. Therefore, it’s expected and likely that law enforcement will find child victims beyond the ones identified in this story, and beyond the 2015 to 2017 timeline identified as well. Further Details on Baldenebro’s Arrest
Baldenebro has been a teacher at the Mountain View School district’s Miramonte Elementary School for over twenty years. He has not been in the classroom since May 15, 2017 when he was placed on administrative leave. At that time, the school’s principal notified the district of an incident report, and the district contacted law enforcement.
Baldenebro was arrested on Wednesday June 21, 2017, and was accused of multiple counts of child molestation and lewd and lascivious acts with children. He remains held on over $400,000 bail.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Special Victims Bureau continues to investigate.
