CONCORD, CA – East Bay Teacher Takes Stand at Molestation Trial
Joseph Martin, a Concord Elementary School fifth and sixth grade teacher accused of molesting 14 former students, took the stand in his trial yesterday. He faces 150 counts of sexual abuse of students at Woodside Elementary School. Cameras were not allowed in court, but KTVU News reported Martin appeared clam and did not deny having a physical hands-on teaching style, but said his actions were misinterpreted. Read more here:
MONTEREY PARK, CA – Former Elementary Teacher Pleads Guilty to Molesting Special Education Students
Jose Mosqueda, 44, has pleaded guilty to three counts of committing lewd acts upon a child and one count of continuous sexual abuse, the LA Times reported. The victims where his female fourth grade special education students. He will be sentenced on September 5, and is expected to get 16 years in state prison, and have to register as a sex offender for life. Read more here:
LEHIGH VALLEY, PA – Former Foster Parent Sentenced in Molestation Case
Robert W. Repsher, 62, pleaded guilty in June to indecent exposure, corrupting a minor and attempted sexual assault. This week he was sentenced to 5 ¼ to 15 years, on top of his current sentence. Repsher and his wife of 44 years, reportedly had more than 100 foster children in their home over the years. Repsher is already serving 10 to 20 years for sexually assaulting two other girls. He will not be eligible for parole until just before his 76th birthday in 2028, and could be held until 2045. Read more here:
